It is a common starting point to ask someone what they do for work, you often find you get a varied response, those really interesting answers of something usually, or something you have never heard of. What is most interesting is the small number of people who turn round with a smile on their face and tell you “I love what I do”. Who are these people who truly love what they do……

Well I am one of those, I truly love being a neurological physiotherapist. If you ask most adults what they would like to do, a majority reply with “I want to make a difference to someone, I want to help someone, I want to give more back to the community etc”. This is exactly what physiotherapy is, helping a number of people everyday you work to improve their quality of life. Everyone is different and you are constantly challenged to keep up with the latest research, so there is never a dull moment.

I took this chance to show my gratitude of how lucky I am that I choose to become a physiotherapist back when I was 16 and how this was one of the best decisions of my life…It has shaped my life in many ways.
