We would like to say a huge congratulations to Christine for proving to not only herself but for many people living with Parkinson’s Disease that you CAN improve your ability to dual task.

Christine has recently had her annual review and repeat of outcome measures which demonstrated over the past 4 years that we have been working together she has not only maintained but has SIGNIFICANTLY improved her;

  • Walking speed
  • Step length
  • Dual tasking manually
  • Dual tasking cognitively
  • Leg strength

These results show that Christine is functionally improving, even 4 years post diagnoses. Now we don’t actually know what impact this is having on the pathophysiology of the progressive Parkinson’s, however if her function and quality of life is improving……that is a pretty strong indicator that she is proactively managing her condition to the best of her abilities.

Christine has achieved this by her commitment to training with focus and variability. She has explored a wide range of therapeutic approaches including LSVT Loud and LSVT BIG, PD Warrior, Counter Punch, Outward Bound etc and always interested in finding out more information.

Christine participates in our Wednesday afternoon PD Warrior program. Christine is an excellent advocate for proactive positive management of Parkinson’s which is providing her with positive results and quality of life.
